Wow... just wow. Wouldn't be surprised if we see a CFW in a few days with this info available!

(*stabs self in face*)

No need to be a jerk. I may not be the "l33t hax0r" you are, I was going by what other people said, and someone said it could allow us complete control of the Wii, so I thought "why couldn't it be a possibility then." That was just pure speculation on my part.

alkso in a recent news post we got told there would be cfw

Grabbing the keys from your own wii...

What exactly is 3.3 doing to block trucha signing? If we use the keys from our original consoles, wont it be like signing an iso like it is? Bypassing the trucha check... (someone correct me if I'm wrong)

Nice release - and it's always good to see source.

Like the version code check

Could be especially useful for the Korean Wiis.

I hope we'll see a good solid explanation about what this is all about.
I followed the whole trucha business from the beginning. I even opened up some ISOs and pulled stuff out and put stuff back in, signed stuff. It all worked splendidly...but the whole key.bin thing is still a bit of a mystery to me. I checked out the "keys keys keys" article but I suddenly got a terrible headache halfway through.
I suppose this Wii Key Grabber is another breakthrough? I only have to find out what breakthrough that is. Because right now I just get the impression that if I lose my car keys I can consult my Wii with this tool.

so we need to download IOS11 from the Nintendo Update Server
lets hope Nintendo hasn't Patched the iso.

not really a problem since:

bushingThis program will do the following, automatically:

# Download IOS11 from the Nintendo Update Server
# Patch it to remove the MEM2 protection (so the PPC can access all 64MB of it)
# Patch it to allow it to delete itself later using ES_DeleteTitle()

...

It goes back a LOT further than that - search for Colossal cave adventure or Will Crowther and Don Wood.

It's one of the original computer meme's as it were

since bushing (who's working for nintendo now) released it, maybe it will install an update to fix the bug to play backups without modchip...

...
i'm just joking (I know the source is included).
no effence bushing

well it seems to work just fine, I just got my keys in a nice text file
i better did it now because perhaps nintendo may block that downloading of that ios11 in the future

it seems a lot of work has gone into how it works, even bushing wasnt able to code it preperly lol thats how much skill has gone into it. nice app never the less.
