HI,
was thinkin of gettin one Wii soon but got some doubt to clear 1st.
In my country there Jap and Local set... they say Jap set upgrade firmware can read the menu in English(How to go about doin that??)

The solderless chips with the wii clip just clips right on top of a chip and you can do it yuorself

http://www.wiiclip.com i believe explain them for you. Most places do them pre-soldered now

A word of warning - the new Wii's come with a resin on them to stop you from soldering anything onto the chips and it makes life a lot harder.
