I installed my wii with homebrew channel and I have a few questions:

1. Can you replace the black icon with some pic?
2. Can it be detected by future wii updates?

thanks guys.

1) You could but it would require high skill so no
2) Sure, but I doubt Nintendo want to block homebrew channel

I also have a question about the Homebrew Channel.

I have seen a lot of posts around the net that the WAD installer that Waninkoko released does not work with this channel, as well as the Duplicated Channel Remover. Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks

I can confirm that they both work wonderfully, although I run all my homebrew through a Homebrew Loader. I use that Spanish one that looks like the Wii menu. There are also Wad Installer and Uninstaller Channels.

I believe that once IOS37 is activated, it is supposed to break the Homebrew Channel.

Yeah, the installer wouldn't work for me through the homebrew channel. I had to boot up Twilight.

I didn't know there were channels for either of them. I will have to check that out then because what I'm really looking to be able to do is install homebrew / VC games without having to boot up Twilight Princess every time.

I haven't actually had a chance to try it yet, but I will see if it works for me since it seems that it works for some people and doesn't for others.

Thanks to both for your feedback.
