Updated for the sake of using a USB keyboard in case I need a quick fix of Internet browsing. In fact, they should go one further and put in a mouse. OH WAIT, Maybe they should allow a portable USB device to be connected so I can upload pictures on the internet...

Oh wait... I just described a PC...

Thanks guys will try tonight

Too bad they didn't update the flash player in the browser.
The latest SDK for the Flash Player is v7. Adobe/Macromedia has not released one for v8 or v9, so no later version will ever come (unless one day they do decide to release a new SDK)
This is the same for any integrated device.

Has anybody with the metroid 15% update tried this?

Me!
I did the metroid 15% update.. Wiinja Deluxe, Firmware 3.0E. Updated to 3.1E and everything is working, backups, originals and all channels

What do you mean with metroid 15%?
Metroid 15% is a thing where if you are using the NTSC version of metroid on pal, it does an update and on pal consoles it messes up your channels (well, gives you duplicate weather and news channels). But, if you take the plug out of the wii console when the update gets to 15% (so the wii turns off) then you dont get the duplicate channels.. I guess that explains what metroid 15% means

I updated last night. It must have been busy as I kept getting errors. After it updated I downloaded the everyone votes and the internet channel again. The USB keyboard DOES work on opera. I've just tested it. The only pain is switching between the keyboard and wiimote.

I'm using a wii 3.1J which I just updated last night. Then I do the unplug technique to play metroid prime corruption. The game works just fine.

Any other NTSC update stories? Has it worked fine? all backups still work? Get any duplicate channels?

I just turned on my wii to see what messages I got and I was thinking of updating to 3.1 But I don't like the fact that I have to sign a user agreement where it can monitor my play. It's not like I play PAL or Jap games anyways but something smells fishy about all of this.
I don't want to get banned or anything, or somehow Nintendo stop me from accessing their channels.
