Yes you can downgrade from 4.0 to 3.2U, just use cIOS downgrade 1.2 and ios downgrader 1.1 on waninkoko's website. You must have a cios already installed.

That's good to know about downgrading. Sweet. Seems like once your foot is in the door it's hard for them to block you, but getting cIOS installed on virgin Wiis with 4.0 will be tricky.

If you've ever used the backup launcher then you have it already. Just use whatever the latest version of Wad Manager is and it'll work off of IOS249

Its just after upgrading i went to teh shop and couldnt find the new arcade titles

I have personally gone from 3.3U, to 4.0U and back to 3.2U succesfully. All that is required is that you have the a cIOS installed BEFORE upgrading to 4.0U. You can find the latest one here. Just install this before upgrading and you should be able to update to 4.0U with your wad installing abilities intact and be able to downgrade to 3.2U if you wish.

It is absolutely the best idea to STAY at 3.2 for at least a few days till we know what work arounds there are and what all else is blocked.

Starfall and preloader will be uninstalled when you update 4.0 because that is a new system menu update. Starfall and preloader patch the current system menu and replace the current system menu respectively, so when an update includes a new system menu both will be disabled.

got preloader to boot but when i try and load sysmenu4 it says corrupt, so have booted to HBC and reinstalled 3.2

Anyregionchanger wont work and waninkoko's cios downdgrader will work because waninkoko's uses a cios while anyregionchanger doesn't and there ioses are blocking it(as far as i know)

Because you, my friend, are a noob. If you have wads installed or use homebrew, DO NOT UPDATE until there is a workaround!

Edit: Apparently if you had CIOS install before hand, it would all still work?

good answer... i have 2 friends with 3.2 and today enter in the new wii shop channel and also all wad (vc & wiiware) installed with wadmanager 1.3 are be deleted...
