Hacking Wii Disc Games As System Menu Channels?

This YouTube video shows a Wii with disc games loaded as channels on the System Menu. You can see them on the "grid" at the start of the video, and you can see them selected/"zoomed in" at about 39 seconds in.



How would one go about doing this? Thanks in advance!

Is there any homebrew software that can run on the Wii itself to create such channels, rather than having to transfer the HDD to a PC?
