Yes I do. When it starts up you can hear it do its' "scan" (if thats what you want to call it)Do you hear noise from the optical drive moving around when you turn the Wii on? Or is it silent? Is there any disc in the drive?

The clock battery? I havent disassembled a Wii before, but have built many PCs in my time. Would this be the flat cell battery on a motherboard?Hmm probably check the clock battery inside the wii. It might have gone out though I'm not sure what would be the effect of that.
Appreciate all the feedback, have my Sd cards coming this weekend to try BootmiiDo you hear noise from the optical drive moving around when you turn the Wii on? Or is it silent? Is there any disc in the drive?
It's actually very accessible. Below your wii, there's a small door secured by a screw. Just open that and the battery compartment will pop out.The clock battery? I havent disassembled a Wii before, but have built many PCs in my time. Would this be the flat cell battery on a motherboard?
