welll this is what i have done on my ntsc 3.1u (no modchip) virgin console :
0) copied smg(ntsc-u) to a folder which has 2 file backup-creator.exe and common-key ,and then created a file partition.iso and burnt it on a dvd
1) used wad manager to install the CIOS36_rev5-64-v1042.wad
2) installed DVDX -> IOS 249
3) execute wii loader from homebrew channel and then i am getting an error : ie

-4100 Error

Please help

ok, well i dont think this will work with a modchip installed becasue of the debug commands they will mess with the reads on the DVD drive which has the drive chip

ok i just tested red steel (ntsc), burned at 4x on memorex dvd+r again, and it crashed at the licensed by nintendo screen.
AFAIK star wars the force unleashed and maybe pokemon battle revolution are the only games that are fully playable with this.
btw i also tried pokemon battle revolution (ntsc) and it seems to work nearly 100% (just the issues with the audio at the beginning as already mentioned.)

Miles: yes i get full color on all the games I've tried so far (which are all NTSC) and no graphics glitches on a 3.3U ntsc wii, regular cables, magnavox hdtv.

Instead of flaming everyone around just make wanin post offical announcement that this version is in very early stage and may damage one's wii. And trust me, it was MEANT to be released, from looking what kind of people got this. I've been to many development scenes and remember many leak-disasters, it was always because of unresponsible developers who were giving files to noobs seeking attention.

And if you ask me, I do not plan to use that. I was going to test same games to provide results but when I've seen that dumping a dvd is INCREDIBLY slow I decided to stop.

So tell me your secret way to stop people from using that? If its a kind of timebomb, it would be nice if you just make an annoucement because bricking people's stuff is never good (i.e darkfader's case).

I think that leaking software under development is a big backstub for the developer...
but you are not "the man without sin"

1) when you work to a project that may generate such hype, you have to keep it internal till the very end
2) waninkoko trusted you and invited you to support him testing his work

and what happened?
once you received his work and trust, you just made a video on youtube.

Yeah, I have an NTSC TV and I using composite cables.
Apparently I'm not the only one having touble, but it's not like what normally happens when I boot up PAL games (like with my PS2) where the screen is black and white and is scrolling up over and over.

Ummm... if Waninkoko lost his contract with infectus don't you think they would have warned him by now about releasing this thing? It's not like infectus is a legit company that pays their taxes or anything. Also this won't ruin the modchip business's either. Some people will prefer to have a chip in their machine over installing something that sounds too complex. People just want to burn and play when it comes to games.

@linkinworm : welll i have 2 seperate wii's one of them is chipped(ntsc-j -> ntsc-U(3.3)) and the other one is virgin(ntsc 3.1u) ,thanks for this info ,i am trying my luck on the one which is unchipped

actualy that video was WAY after the 1st build, ill tell you now i was testing this for waninkoko for about a month before anyone, because origianly i had the idea of hot swaping with the code running, but that wasnt so good as you had to open your wii and it was hard to get the disk out. so dont get telling me stuff you have no idae about. he didn have a problem with my video, he would have said nooo dont keep that up, cos i send him the link straight away, if he said take it down
i would have.
