Hacking Wii backup loader......looks real!

I'm not excited about this anymore. Now that it will only be read at x3...that means all games will not work.

IIRC, my WiiKey is set on 3x and everything works beautifully.

Really? That's good news, I wonder why everything is such slow loading atm?

I just asked Waninkoko over msn about 3X vs. 6X disc read speed. It looks like we are going to be stuck with 3X for the backup loader.

it works at 3x as the DVD read commands of the drive are made to work at 3x, when you use the DVD-R read functions, the drive does reads at 3x, but when you use Wii disc read functions, the drive works at 6x, it's a DVD drive thing

Will that mean that all games wont work?
Also, since 6X wont be in the backup loader, did waninkoko mention why?

Would the game still work or not?

I am not sure either, but someone said they're using their WiiKey at 3X and it's working fine.

It'll hit 75-80 pages before it's even out I'm guessing. Within 5 hours after it's release it'll hit 100 pages.

Most (maybe all) games will work at a slower speed. Loading times might be slightly longer, but thats it. A price worth paying to play the backup of your scratched disk, isn't it?
Cutscens won't be a problem, 3X should be plenty to play some video, i think (not really sure) that most dvd's are played at 1X.

cutscenes rendered in real time might have a bit of an issue though (don't know for sure)

3x is not a problem, the mario problem is something else as far as we can tell. also if any other beta testers are on here and have tried DVD9 version of SSBB can you post the results up?
