I need this since I have a DMS Wii, and it has problems reading dual-layer SSBB. I saw somewhere though that there is a single-layer version I can download
somewhere. It's still legal because I own the game right.

I knew abou this before almost anyone else did.
It wasnt just waninkoko, it was linkinworm too.
I e-mailed waninkoko, (when linkinworm was making it, but wasnt sure if waninkoko was going to help), that if he would help.
He said, Maybe...Depends on the difficulty.
I'm not sure if linkinworm is a betatester for this I read somewhere else that he was just a betatester and was taking credit for ir because waninkoko was shy.]
But I dont know...
If you dont believe me about knowing before almost anyone, look at the forum I made before today.

I actually know that there is more than 1 backup loader in development, but it looks like this will be released 1st.
But one of them moght be a rumour and another one was given up on because of flaming, so people NO FLAMING!
I want to play some copied games please! and I'm sure a LOT or other people want to too.

The EpicSoftHack one was fake beyond doubt.
BTW, Team Twizzlers is a comedy thing, they don't really exist.

Your list proves you have no idea what you're talking about. The Team Twizzlers page was the most sarcasm-laden page ever, but maybe you're too slow to catch on to that. And I'm not even going to start in on EpicSoftHack again...

"Twizzlers" is a joke name - relating to a certain UK celebrity chef (Jamie Oliver) and his campaign to get the turkey variety out of schools.

It's a pun on the groups real name.

Idk why I cant watch the video, but what kind of method are we looking at right now? Im guessing:

get an ISO
Modify/patch certain part of it
burn iso
launch linkin's app
put in disc
LET EM RIP!

My link isnt one holding links to games, so I think its fine, its just outside that and that has nothing to do with me.
Apparently, linkinworm is indeed a betatester.
1stly, I think everyone should thank linkinworm, without him, the video wouldnt be released, I wouldnt get the info 1st and the backup loader might be a lot safer now.
Also, a whle back, linkinworm said it would be in the form of a cIOS, but seeing that hes using the homebrew channel to use I guess it isnt, YAY, but I'll find out soon.
Thanks Dack, I didnt know of them (well kinda), so I'll delete that now.
@ Zant, Yeah, its looking that way.
Dont think you have to patch the ISO in anyway, but I dont know.
I hope there will be an option to load games from the network.
That would save a lot of discs!

He just replyed and yeah, you will need a new cIOS.
cIOS's scare me.
Does anyone know if you can still go online gaming with a cIOS and update your firmware from nintendo (granting its safe that is)?
I need to know quite a lot of info about cIOS's.

I think cIOS is rather safe. Whenever a new update arrives from Nintendo, you shouldn't update right away, anyway. It is my current understanding that cIOS leaves no traces at all if it is completely uninstalled (which is possible). Detecting other homebrew software - especially channels - is easier, as the Wii keeps track of the channels you used. As of now, there are no reports of any ban because of such activity, and its most likely not even possible, at least with current games. If future games are able to detect and report cIOS, you can always uninstall cIOS.

The intention is to:

1. Install the cIOS
2. 'Trim' a few ISOs (new app for the Wii games, existing app for GC)
3. Use the disc builder program to create a compatible ISO
4. Put ISO in Wii
5. Run loader to choose ISO to load.

From my discussions with him - I'm sure he'll correct me if I'm wrong

I'll release the Trim and Builder apps at the same time as his loader.

Whats this "trim and Builder apps" of which you speak?
Thanks Helsionium for the info.
I already knew about not updating straight away because hackmii anaylses the update and then tells you if its safe to update.
Thanks for the info about if I can still go online.
I started onlnr play about just over a year ago now and I LOVE IT!
I dont wanna give it up...

One thing:

The Multidisc Loader won't work without modchip. It's a different project.

Thanks for clearing that up.

The trim and builder apps allow you to trim an ISO - by getting rid of the blank space in the middle/end of an ISO. The resulting ISO is then slightly larger than the actual content.

The disc builder creates a disc image that will be compatible with Waninkokos multi loader software.
