No one would lose their time doing that as a wireless adapter is like 10-15$ just go beg on street corner with old clothes it will be more efficient. But if youd want to lose your time id look into wiilinux...

You are stealing someone else's wireless? Don't tell me you hacked into someone else network.

Just get a pre-owned cheap modem on ebay. Wii cannot be bridged.

As above said, wii cannot bridge. The wifi adapter isn't designed for it.

That said, if there is no password on it, then by law it's not hacking or stealing. It's only either of the above if a password or encryption is involved... At least in the US.

But as the song goes, "the times, they are a-changin"

This law still varies from state to state. In some states, even using someone's Wi-Fi without express permission, encrypted or not, is illegal, sometimes criminally.

weird. maybe that makes sense because it's rightfully theirs (

) and some people don't seem to know how to put a password on anyways.

I can't stand the wii Internet channel, in my opinion, it's slow, inconvienient, and doesn't let you do a lot of stuff that your computer uses the Internet for. Again, that's just my opinion

I don't think this would be possible without buying some hardware.
With wiilinux and an usb ethernet dongle you would have a chance, have a look at iptables

Thanks for all the replies. I just notice even if it was possible it still would not work for me unless there was a way to send internets through bluetooth(I have bluetooth adapter).

BtW I was using an unWEP wireless from a good friend of mine. I just ended up going to Graiglist on the Internet channel and getting a new modem.

When my computer had stopped working and it had to get repaired, leaving me without it for a month, I was stuck with either my DSi, PSP or the Wii (security is WPA so I didn't use my Lite, and I didn't have my X10 by then, so phone browsing was pretty bad), and the few times I used the Internet Channel was torture.

Wireless USB keyboard goes a long way into making the internet channel a lot more useful for wii. Still low res though which could be a pain in the ass.
