Misc Wifi wii

Hey guys! Well i'm gonna get my wii in just a couple of hours and whaddya know....my wireless internet just stoped working....

(i'm serious

) But then i talked to my friend and he said that i could use the nintendo wifi usb thingy for the ds to connect my wii online. And i was wondering if that was true?

You need a router or hub CONNECTED to the internet via modem. The Wii will not work alone. The Wii just has a built in wireless card.

the answer is yes. you can config the wifi settings of the wii to use the usb wifi thing.

True that but you still need something connected to a modem that is connected to the internet. The Wii (USB dongle or not) doesn't just magically find the internet...... You need to connect to a wireless modem, router or hub. If you are lucky you might be able to ride on a neighbor's wireless connection though but it's usually slow.
