Sorry for the newbish question, but is it possible for wi-fi to work on an emulator and connect up with a real DS?

no$gba's Wifi support is still incomplete. It's enough to let you get into Pictochat if you have an authentic firmware and BIOS files in the same folder, but you can't hookup to real DS systems or other emulated DS systems yet.
