Clones suck, the best were the original R4. Anything after that is pure crap in the R4 department, I'm afraid.

lol...so your card happen to die after one month and you assume every clone have a timebomb?
This thread wont be sticky unless you can prove it.

Not every R4 are pure crap, at least not r4i-sdhc from r4i-sdhc.com.

Or you know something douchebag?

Maybe blow into the Card slot and into the card? Hmm? EVERY THOUGHT OF THAT?!

Holy crap some people are retarded

Paper trick?

What about the AK2i that blew someones fuse? Should people not buy AK2i now?

While I think clones suck, most carts can die in a short period of time due to shoddy quality. It's usually the luck of the draw, though.

It doesn't need to be stickied, because the pitfalls of R4 clones have been well documented. It would be virtually impossible to not see numerous threads per page in this section complaining about one clone or another.
Sad thing is people keep buying them just to save a few bucks, despite the constant warnings.

I always feared when I got my first R4(Non clone original) that it would break(just a fear of losing my first and maby only access to a flash cart at the time) and it still works but I use my Acekard 2i now. (So I can play on my DSi)

How is that proof that it is the fault of the R4 card?
Have you tried reloading/updating the firmware?
Have you checked that the SD card is working?
Are you sure you've not damaged the connectors by forcing it into the DS crooked?
There's a high chance that if it has been working for a month then its either been handled rough or its a software fault
Anyone that buys an R4 card from anywhere now is taking a gamble (as nearly every other page on this site already says!) but having said that, i have bought 3 R4 clones in the past and they are all working perfectly with the 100 or so games that are on each one.

I actually have one of those "clone of a clone" cards XD! Or at least one that "Claims" to an "R4" and is actually a DSTT with an awful hacked version of YSmenu...

Counterfeit is bad, kids ò.ó!

You don't need to make a video of a non-working card... It's not something special.

For a card that costs $5-$7 to buy, you can't expect it to last forever. They are cheap enough, just buy another.

I thought the card blew a fuse in your DSi or something... that would be bad... but a dead card can be replaced easily...

It's not really sticky-worthy... it's more something to be expected...

Yeah I got it from my local market thinking it was one of the new r4i-sdhc.com v1.4 carts. I went back yesterday and after a bit of an argument with the stall holder I got a replacement. It will do until I get a supercard DSTWO.

Well not all clones are utter garbage. I have a clone and I've been using it for 2 years with no problems whatsoever!
