Hacking Why don't the cheat work?

Hi There


I have the R4 card version v1.22 and inside there are a pile of cheats which is cheat.dat

Today When I tried to download the cheat.dat from this website as it contained the latest cheats and put it inside my R4 card.Upon loading none of the cheats appear in any of my games.I have a 2GB card and there are only around 40 games inside from the very old super mario 64 ds to mario kart etc.

Luckily I made a backup of it .The cheat.dat that came with my v1.22 works and shows a cheat button in most of my games but the cheat.dat from this website just doesn't work.None of the games are shown to have any cheat

Whats going on?

None of the cheat.dat .Jap/UE version etc works.It just doesnt show "Cheat" under the game name on the bottum screen for my DS

You need both a modified 1.18 firmware file, and a smaller cheat.dat (such as the u/e releases only version) in order to see cheats. You also need to have only one cheat file in there, no usercheats.dat.

The file should be in the _system_ folder.

Follow the thread's first post carefully. Towards the bottom of that original post is the details for making cheats work with the r4.

That is, how to work for the r4, how to work for the r4clone you have is perhaps different...

That made my R4 card unloadeable after downgrading to 1.18

Its not some games that dont work.All games dont work.They are not recognizing the cheat file
