I agree, but it is the only or one of the only 3d plats on the 3ds currently, sadly...

That's such a shame I could see Dk64 on the 3ds easily. I couldn't set 3d land down it was very addicting.

I guess it is bad if you payed 40$ for it since it is so short,but if you pirate I liked the game personally. It's not as good as 3d land but it's pretty fun.

Right now most 3DS only platformers are pretty awful. I like Gunman Clive although. Kirby Triple Deluxe was awesome, and the "true last boss" had me splattered across the floor. (It's actually two boss fights without a health refill...YIKES.)

Cave Story is back to "Nintendo Hard" and honestly, I don't have the patience for it. However, I'd buy it again, just because the guy making it is brilliant.

I think platformers have fallen completely out of style thanks to the current trend of gritty real looking shooters. (Boring. But I always found even the Doom/Quake style of shooter to be dull.)

I still think the gold standard is Mario and Kirby for platformers. Mario for some challenge and Kirby for casual players.

The core gameplay is okay, but the level designs go from decent (the very first level) to terrible.
