Hacking Why does this keep happening?

Oh, the insane loudness of the ps3. Ive changed the thermal paste, cleaned it, did the little fan trick, and all the time the ps3 sounds like im doing that trick. The tempatature is always low, at least thats what webmam says, ive turned off dynamic air, and not only that, but when i reach my hand at the ps3's air holes, it pipes out freezing air! So why does it get so loud. I know im doing something wrong, and that you are going to call me stupid but please help!

Might be the temp sensor is blown which can happen. Our the cooler doesn't sit propet. But experience tells me it's the sensor.... Might try a fan speed software. But you need to have an eye on the temps then!

Out of curiosity, is it a fat model? I had tons of problems with fat models, then went slim.

Could very well be that the thermal paste between the IHS and CPU/RSX is dried out.
Tho that doesn't fit with the "chips being cold".
