Last night I wanted to play on my PS4 for the first time in a while. Having used my DS4 for emulating ps1 games, I had to repair it. No problem, right?
Wrong. The micro USB cable that came with my PS4 stopped working shortly after I got it.
Ok, so just hit the sync button on the PS4 and sync it wirelessly. Nope. There's no sync button. You need a paired controller to go into settings to pair a controller.
Alright, well I've used a keyboard on my PS4 in the past, I can just use that, right? No. Keyboards do not work with a PS4 until you get past the start screen. Why? I don't know, and this whole experience has soured my relationship with Playstation even more.
Sony why are you like this

I've never had to use micro usb outside of the ps4. I have a micro usb power cable, but it doesn't transfer data.

I've got a similar issue on charging/pairing a DS3, if I don't use the original cable I can't even recharge its battery.
