Hacking Why does it not patch sometimes?

Sometimes I'll be in the sakura menu about to boot my game. I press A on the game I want and the next thing I know is that the "game patch" thing doesn't load and it hangs on a black screen, so I have to restart my ds. It seems to happen randomly (sometimes it loads fine, sometimes it hangs). The worst I've gotten 3 no-game-patches in a row.
Is this normal?

does it happen after a soft-reset? that's the only time my Real hangs on loading. seems to be random other than that.

Sounds like bad contacts on the micro sd reader or on the actual M3.
