Only had this a week and decided to open her up after getting 84c CPU and 75c GC. Jeez was I shocked. Nice and quiet now.

Laptops can suffer from this as well, I once had an old laptop which would just turn off after a couple of minutes so I decided to clean it out.

The dirt was so thick that I thought it was a filter and the laptop was fine afterwards.

The issue was so distinct that I knew instantly years afterwards what it looked like and managed to save someone a few bob on a new laptop as they were able to fix it with a bit of cleaning.

I've never opened up my PS3 (or 4), but I used to have to clean a lot of crud out of my 360. Such a pain to open, but it did help my temps a little. I haven't had a problem with the ps3/4, so I'm just leaving them be and putting something on them so they don't collect dust when turned off.
