I don't have issues either. in Ridge Racer and SSFVI it's pops out fine for me.

ssf4 it doesn't pop out for me only with some special attack by mine the 3d in ssf4 is that you can like watch into the screen,is this what you meant or am i doing something wrong?

i see more depth in that game. the only time things pop out is like the specials (like when that hairy chest buy slams someone down and his foot sticks out). also trophies pop out a little. you can test this out by taking your stylus and then poking the trophy. if it goes through it like a hologram then that for me is popping out haha. its not much but its still 3d for me. but there is more depth in the game than pop out

edit: random but: if you guys want really cool pop out effects go use your 3ds cameras and when the lighting is good go outside, take a picture of flowers that have many things going on. and then take a good picture with a good angle (like a branch pointing towards your screen). it takes practice because a lot of picture looks more depth than 3d. but i sucessfully got a lot of pictures that look like it pops out my 3d alot and when i point my stylus at it it goes through xD

I haven't had any issues with maintaining the viewing angle. The only time I lose the effect is when I shake my screen in frustration from crashing into walls.

I can see it from pretty much any angle, there is no sweet spot, you just cant see it.

I hate how specific lighting conditions must be to get the best 3D results.

Are you under harsh light like sunlight or florescent lighting? No quality 3D for you! (stupid glare!)
Also when you move the 3DS just slightly at an angle, polygon objects still retain 3D but 2D sprites get this annoying "double image" thing. I then have to pause my game and mess with the distance between my eyes and the game system as well as the angle!

Well as much as I like to complain on how spot-on you have to be, it sure beats wearing a pair of eyeglasses! We all know how difficult eyeglasses 3D is when you have to wear corrective eye-wear! (It gives you a blooming headache!)

Yep, same here. But still.. the viewing angle could be better. I hate it, because some of my friends hate the 3DS for it. I always try to protect it then XD
Sometimes I feel like a Nintendo VP of Marketing or something

I don't have too much problem... the viewing angle is pretty good for me... Admittedly the higher the 3d level is the lower the angle seems to be... but that's okay because max 3d hurts my head anyways.

3D is easy for me to maintain. I can even move it side to side (not tilting it) and wouldn't lose it, whether I move my head or just follow with my eyes.
are you a wizard!?!?! how is this possible O_O

edit: i just tried moving it side to side without tilting and it works haha! i can move like an inch max before it goes wonky. still i tend to tilt it more (which i think is more natural becuase moving it side to side requires more body control i think)
Glad it work for you and that I'm not the only one.

huh why is everyone whining about this?! IT IS FREAKING EASY, JUST HOLD IT IN FRONT OF YOUR HEAD . You need your eyes not your ears.

Yeah its really hard to hold a half pound of electronics in front of your face.

10-14 inches is the ideal distance. Unless you're Yao Ming who has like a meter of upper body,
you can just rest your arms on your lap while playing. I have long arms so i tend to flex them a
bit to get 14inches. Complaints like this wouldn't come up if you really found time to test this shit out
before buying.

Really, posts here are really getting ridiculously STOOPHID.

you're obviously not getting the point. you have to hold it nearly still for the whole gaming experience. its like you're constraint to certain spot and your not allowed to move your 3ds a little when you get exited in a game or when your turning a car and you intinstinctively move your 3ds with the car. or for me in SSIV, pushing the buttons fast from doing moves quickly can move the 3ds too and that affects the 3d .

i think we all know how to get the sweet spot. the problem is the angle of the sweet spot and how constraint it is! if you're okay with holding it nearly still then good for you =] . as for me i hate it but i'll have to deal with it.

I have no problem with the viewing angle, but what I've found myself doing now with Pilotwings is when I'm trying to make a hard turn in a plane, I begin to tilt my 3DS along with it, and tilt my head even more. I blame my years of aviation academy in high school for that.

this.

It's not hard at all to maintain the 3D effect within the sweet spot.

Well I as well seem to be one of the few people who have no problems at all with it.
I just turn it on and there it is, I can move the screen up and down a little and it still works.

Probably because I looked at stereograms often in my childhood? Dunno
