I have seen many different USB Loaders, and, from the poll conducted, it appears that Configurable USB Loader is the most popular. On YouTube Guides, everyone uses USB LoaderGX

I went to install Configurable USB Loader from the tutorial page on he forum thread, however, I immediately got stuck after it asked that I need a specific IOS. How do I check the IOS version of my Wii (I used the Modify ANY Wii 4.3/4.2 Guide available on the hacking subforum)?

And can you post which USB Loader you use, and a good tutorial link that , hopefully, will explain everything.

To verrify the IOS installed on your Wii, follow this guide:
http://gbatemp.net/topic/300279-posting-a-system-check/

It will create a file on your SD card, or give you a link if you have Wifi enabled.

About the USBloader to choose, it's all up to you.
Try them all, and decide the one you prefer or feel easier.
A lot of users will tell you that the worst one is USBloaderGX because it's unstable, but I don't know why, it's very stable. maybe they test it only once few years ago...
There are no "best" or "worse" loader, each of them have the same compatibility. All is a question of look and feel.

USBloaderGX have a Wii look
Wiiflow / Wiiflow mod are usually praised for their look (cover flow)
Config USB Loader is preferred by advanced users because it has many options (which all other loaders have)

all these loader accept FAT32 and NTFS.

Neogamma only accept WBFS partition.

Try them and decide by yourself.

That syscheck don't make good reports anymore :(
Where the old one with all IOS version and access list?

Well, like someone said to you in the USBloaderGX topic, your hacking process didn't work fully.
Maybe you didn't follow the guide fully, or the files couldn't be installed and you didn't see there were some errors.

Try with Modmii guide, download Modmii then run it and answer some questions about your Wii and what you want to do.
It will generate a folder to place on your SD Card and create you a guide to follow.

Thanks.
You syscheck is good this time, and it shows that you completed the hacking guide correctly.
The syscheck is showing HBC 1.0.0, but I guess it's 1.1.0

The USBloaders should be working fine.
By default, USBloaders are working by using the IOS present on slot249

Here is a hint to understand how to read your syscheck:
IOS = Set of programs used to operate between any application running on the wii and the console hardware (Nand, USB, DVD, Wiimote, etc.)

IOS249[56] (rev 21008 Info: d2x-v8final): Trucha Bug NAND Access USB 2.0

It means that you have the slot 249 used (a IOS is installed in that slot).
The installed IOS in that slot is based on the official IOS 56 from Nintendo. (you can verify, you have a IOS56 listed in your syscheck).

The IOS56 is only the "base" IOS from Nintendo, which has been patched to add new functionalities: Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB2.0
The modified (custom) IOS56 is then installed in the slot 249.
this is what is called a cIOS249 (Custom IOS 249).

That IOS 249 version is : rev 21008 Info: d2x-v8final

What is important is the BASE IOS used to create the cIOS, and the version (d2x v8).

In your slot249, you have a base56 (compatible with 99% of game)
In your slot250, you have a base57 (needed for 1% of games)

You should now understand why you needed to "hack your wii".
It installed new (custom) IOS with USB access.
