The DSTT is not better that the R4 but you can get YSmenu and it makes the DSTT better for roms and cheats. I would go with the AK2i.

Get a cyclods, it may be $50, but it is more than worth it...

If you don't have a DSi and aren't planning on one, get an AceKard 2.

If you have a Jap or Australian DSi, get an AK2i.

anyways depending on the price range you should get a cyclo ds m3 real
i have a dstt and im satisfied with it. it is a pretty good card. the only thing bad about it is the menu on how you could only see nds files. but thats about it
i say dstt $5.95 on dealextreme.com or cyclo ds $46.99 dealwoot.com cyclo has much better features dstt is just cheap

It is my understanding that you have 3 choices for a GOOD flashcart at this point; AceKard, CycloDS and SCDS1. While any of the others might work for playing games/homebrew (whatever), they may have less special features, inferior compatibility and/or may not receive updates as often.

I disagree with this statement. Since the release of Sakura, in my opinion the M3 Real has taken over the SCDS1's role of the "high end features, middle priced" card. The Acekard2 is definitely one of the best low-end cards, but I'll also throw the EDGE out there in that group. It doesn't have quite as many features as the Acekard2, but it's durable and has an easy-to-use interface. I don't think there's any arguing about the CycloDS being the best card out there, though.

Yes, it is very dated. Plus the fact that there's a really high chance that you'll get a crappy clone. Stay away from the DSTT. If you don't want to spend much, go to http://www.dealextreme.com and search for EDGE or Acekard 2. Both are under $16 with free shipping.

Nah the m3 line needs to sort it's cheat engine out, it sux. It makes a lot of new releases very hard to play. You'd be better off with a dstt.

If you're looking for a DSi capable cart, the only one off the top of my head is an AK2i. I'm sure there are others, though.

If you want a Phat/Lite cart, I'd definitely say Acekard 2.1. I've also heard good things on the CycloDS/M3Real side, as well.
