Hacking Where to begin?

Hello everyone.

Sorry If I’m posting this in the wrong section. I’m new to all this.

So I have a day one switch(Serial number: XAW1000405) that is currently on 8.1.0.

I’m looking to learn about all the hacking options. Maybe considering running backups.

Can anybody recommend any links to begin with? I am totally new to this so anything helps.

How do I run homebrew? How do I even begin?

Before you can do anything, you need to find a way to enter RCM. I personally like using the paperclip method to install AutoRCM.

ok after that warm welcome here this will help you get started

1. your switch is hackable with the paper clip or dongle method

2. the open source free option is atmosphere and can do almost everything a paid option offers but you can run backups either way you just need to do it certain way with either option

3. how to begin i would check this site on how to get started but the FAQ thread here does have ton of infor
