Recently a second model has surfaced that have that vulnerability patched
Technically it's the same model, the ipatches were just updated to block Fusée Gelée.
If refurbished means a new motherboard, then there is a good chance that it would be the updated one, otherwise I'd guess it's probably an older switch.
To my understanding, it's the same motherboard, the ipatches were just updated as I've stated above.
Okay. The refurbished 3ds I bought came with 10.something.

With Fusée Gelée, firmware has nothing to do with it. If you buy refurbished from Nintendo(user refurbished would be the way to go, like on eBay) then you'll more than likely get a console that has updated ipatches. The only vulnerabilities that rely on firmwares are the TrustZoneHax(déjà vu and jamais vu) not yet released.

You know your 3DS can play NDS games, right? It's chuck full of great JRPGs, puzzle games, platformers, you name it. And a DS flashcart is like $10.

I know, I have a r4i I think but I found it boring. Plus the next gen Pokémon games are on switch

What I mean by 10.something is that it hadn't been updated since then so it was made before that

Buy preowned, its less likely patched

Id rather get refurbished

The switch scene is in hell right now xD

Seems so
