Gaming When was my DS manufactured?

You might be able to get an approximate date from the firmware on the DS. Unfortunately I don't have any links to anything but if you go into Pictochat then remove any DS cart that is in the slot the DS will show a solid colour on the screen. This corresponds to a firmware version and, since DS's have non-updateable firmware, an approximate manufacture date.

Correct. I'm not aware of any "date to firmware" list, but this will give a rough idea.

Some information at the link below.

The colour of your DS can also be an indicator, originally they were silver/black, later metallic blue and pink and red/silver were available, also some other colours as special editions and from regions outside North America.

I could be wrong on this, but on the sticker on the bottom, if the part where "(C) Nintendo" hasn't worn off, the year next to it may tell you. I'm unsure if they changed it for every year it was manufactured. If they did, you know the year. If they didn't, then your starting point is 2004 :p
