Hacking When to Block Updates?

I am receiving a 5.3.0 wii u soon and also a Mario Party 10 disc to update it to 5.3.2. I am planning to use TubeHax to block updates, but do I use the TubeHax BEFORE or AFTER I connect to the internet and put the Mario Party 10 disc in the Wii u?

My concern is if I put the disc in while connected to the internet, it might update to 5.5.1 (or whatever the newest firmware is). On the other end of the spectrum I'm concerned that the Wii u wouldn't update at all if I use the TubeHax before I put the Mario Party disc in the Wii u.

Which is the right way to do this?

The first thing you're gonna do before anything is to update with Mario Party 10 , which means no internet connection in the Wii U at the moment , after getting updated with the game you should manually connect to your internet entering the tubehax DNS and as a extra move , block the Nintendo's URLs in your modem
