Hacking When can we expect softmods for 3DS?

Though I'm sure its been asked several times by now how long would you said it will be until we see an official soft mod for 3DS? I mean the system operates more or less like the Wii, everything about it other then the better processing and graphics spell Wii.

It can happen at any time, but I personally do not want the 3DS hacked no softmod, no flashcart, or a modchip for it. If it some how does happen I hope Nintendo does something about it. That is just my opinion on the thought of the 3DS being hacked because I think it has so much potential that could be ruined if it does happe.

Even Nintendo acknowledges possible piracy from flashcarts etc is not the leading cause of lagging market profit. If compelling games are made people will support the system. I understand the position that piracy makes developers lazy but as far as I know there is no evidence that piracy is the main cause of problems in the video game business. That said it is inevitable, will happen but who knows when. Hopefully after many great games are released.

I personally believe Nintendo can sell more consoles given the following conditions:

1) Lowering the price

or

2) The console is hacked.

Of course the game developers lose money, but Nintendo makes more. Look at all the cheap asses like the OP and myself who are waiting to buy a 3DS when it's either hacked or the price is dropped.

I know it will eventually happen but like you said I hope it is only after some really good games are released for it. I just do not want to see a lot of shovelware on the 3DS like the DS had.

I was bored so I though I'd ask the question,lol. Any hoot how long would you say it took for Wii soft mods to start popping up after the wii launched? and how long did it take after that for emulators and such to really take off on the wii? any one? lol
