Hacking Whats the most recent OFW?

Is 6.39 the most recent according to the sony site? or is there a higher one online? Curious because on the guide to softmod it says something about 6.40 and I can't find any other info on it. Gonna be buying a psp and a memory card, and I have the 6.39 CFW on July 5th.

Does 6.40 fix the kernel exploit used by the downgrader? Hopefully someone with a Pandora capable PSP will test it.

I would suggest a PSP Go instead if it isn't that much more expensive. All PSP Go systems can be downgraded from 6.39 (or lower) to 6.20 (for the permanent patch) and come with 16GB built in.
