Hmm, I am new here.
I often read from cIOS/IOS Installer/Downgrader/Uninstaller...

I am currently on a Twilight-hacked 3.4 Wii.
I want to use the Backup Launcher.

If I use the .dol for installing the cIOS rev7 it downloads and installs some data, but at last quits with an error at "Installing Title...".

Included in the downloaded .zip there was "IOS36-64-v1042.wad" which I think is this obvious ÂIOS - can it be installed with the WAD Manager too or do I need the cIOS rev7 Installer?

Thank you guys

IOS36-64-v1042.wad contains nintendo's IOS36 with the revision number 1042. If you install this wad, it installs IOS36v1042 on your Wii as IOS36.

If you pick up a cIOS36rev7(or higher) wad and install it, it installs a cIOS based on IOS36 with the named revision as IOS249 on your Wii. Gamma loads whatever IOS you have installed as IOS249 and uses it as some kind of firmware. (same result with a cIOS installer .dol if it finishes the installation)

You are at 3.4 this means no wad or .dol installation of cIOS files for you. Search the forum how to do that even on 3.4 or how to downgrade.

Sorry.... my mistake. I had 3.4 hacked - since last week 4.0 over it with HB-Launcher.

I've now done a Downgrade of some IOS and I am currently 4.0E with hacked IOS.
Seems everything's fine
