Hello,
as the title says what version does a refurbished 2ds console from Nintendo come on? (Electric Blue 2DS, no mario kart included)

Its right from Nintendo. That's why I am wondering what version it comes on. The question is directed to people who know and maybe have bought and found out themselves.

I bought a refurbished New 3DS XL from Nintendo through ebay after 11 was out and mine came with 9.8 I think, if that helps. I don't think they necessarily update their refurbs

Hard to say. When they fix the probably update it to the latest (AT THE TIME) then throw them in a box ready to send out. If you lucky you may get the one you need.

Yeah maybe that too. I bet that even if you can confirm someone got a 2DS at a decent version, it's probably still a bit of a gamble.

You're right. I will just try and see what I get. I just want region free, I don't care about cfw

All NEW 2DS ship with a lower FW as far as I know.

I'm not sure, but my refurbished 3DS XL came with 9.9 and my Wii U came with 4.1.0U. This was a couple months ago and the version were pretty early, but as it's refurbished, it could be anything.
