So i sold a ds to this person on ebay. She claimed that I didn't give her a charger when i did give her a 3rd party usb one that still worked(I even said "USB charger" in the desc).

she thinks that if it doesnt plug into the wall it's not a charger

left me bad feedback and now i have to wait 15 mins to talk to an ebay helper

Did you explicitly say "USB Charger"?

If not you asked for it.

Not saying she's right, but you were just begging for someone like her to come along.

well my description was 100% correct

No one is saying it wasn't correct, it's just misleading for people who don't understand, or people who don't have a computer in their home for whatever reason in this day and age.

Um, if the guy didn't have a computer, then was he able to buy something from ebay?

Not as described no charger, seller claims USB cable with no AC plug is charger

This is so stupid. She gave you negative feedback because she doesn't get it's a USB Charger? I dunno much about ebay but you should complain or something.

Well if she didn't read the small print and it was clearly labelled then she is at fault and the feedback will be deleted or it won't affect your rating. I'm sure you are able to put feedback on her feedback and explain it to her.

I said that they may have not had a computer in their home. It could have very well been made from the public library, or a friends house, or even a school.

I typed "USB charger" into Google and got this:

SNIP
Google is unreliable and gives random results with the slightest relevance.

That is a USB charger, as well. My phone uses one of those by default. It's just not what we're talking about

Library computer, friends computer, or any other possibility.

The picture Veho posted is a USB charger. You included a USB cable. It isn't a charger. If I was told I was going to receive a "USB charger" I would expect the plug that Veho linked to and the USB cable that is used with it.

I'd hate to revive a day old blog, but, when I typed "DS USB Charger", this came up.

ndsi-usb-cable.jpg

The USB charger type is a USB charger with a cable. That isn't an ACDC plug but it is plugged into the computer to charge, much like an iPod Adapter or PSP USB Adapter which charge it when connected to the computer. It's pretty common knowledge for people with iPods, PSP's , or even some cellphone models.

Here's a quotation from a website:
QUOTE
DS-USB-Charger-Cable-1.jpg

Use this handy USB Charger cable to utilize any USB port to charge the battery of your Nintendo DS or Nintendo DS Lite.

This basically means it was completely reasonable. It's not his fault.

There's no real USB port in the DS, just an ACDC port, so technically, it was still proper to call it a USB Charger. If it was one that uses a power plug, wouldn't he have said AC/DC charger? It sort of makes sense.

Besides, how hard is it to google and figure out what the thing is? Anyone can use google. Even old people can use google. Maybe they will get proven wrong once they do a simple google search.

One last thing, I doubt that she/he doesn't have a computer.

You'd think she has a computer if she/he has been a member since 2001.
