1st I wanna say thanks and hats off to all the people making homebrew, and all the cool things you can do with it.

But there is one thing 3ds desperately needs and no one has addressed it. Connecting to the Internet with it. Since technology has changed and Nintendo messed up 3ds it is hard to just go online. You Either Have to connect To wifi without a password Or use A wep key. Most places anymore use a password that is an actual word ect and there is no way to just connect a 3ds to a network like this.

I'm sure it would just need a small patch that would allow you to type in a normal password to go online.

I hardly understand what the fuck you wrote (no offence), but connecting to internet is no more complicated than doing it on a phone or a computer. Select the SSID, input password, all done.
WPA is also supported, so I don't know what is the problem, really.

OK how's this, I go to a wifi spot that has a password, on the 3ds, I cannot put in a password unless it's a wep key thus I cannot go online.

Uhm it can be WEP, or WPA, they all work. My WIFI at home is a WPA password, and I can guarantee it's 100% working.

Unless you mean they use some odd protocol that isn't used by normal routers? If so, what is it exactly? "Password" could be a WPA code, so it's hard to know what it is supposed to be.

Ok, if I can just type in a normal password with 3ds how do I do it cuz trust me I have tried

Every password is normal?
Search access point, select access point, type password, profit

Lol I am trying to connect to wifi that has a typed in password, and yes it says sign in to connect then you put in the password. I can only connect with my 3ds to a wifi that has no password, and I don't know if any of you notice but pretty much all wifi everywhere these days has a password. I have tried and didn't see a place to even input a password on my 3ds. I don't know if somehow I overlooked it but pretty sure I didnt. Bow right now I am at wifi with no password so I cannot currently check either. Frustrating yeah but I will try tomorrow if somehow I overlooked how to do it

Isn't that from the web browser though? If so, I thought we had a password free SSID, and simply have to connect from the browser. Even on PSP I was able to do that.
Even if the network itself doesn't have a password it could still require one through a gateway portal. Hotels, for example, do this. Routers that have "guest networks" also do this.

Upload a picture of your 3DS screen so we can figure out exactly what you're talking about

How so? I'm pretty sure your touch screen works, and the systems keyboard is functional..
Have you tried typing the password for secured WiFi networks you know like at home?
I'm pretty sure that works, but it's been a while.
