Hacking What SD formating should be used for 2i?

Hi,

I just got an Acekard 2i and I'm a bit confused about how to format the SD card to work with it. I have a Kingston 8GB SDHC card and it worked fine with the Acekard software out of the box, but a lot of homebrew software was having trouble. Mainly, any directories couldn't be accessed by the hombrew stuff. I thought that maybe the SD card needed to be NTFS so I formatted it. After I did, I got a "System Files Not Found" error when trying to boot the Acekard software. Went back to FAT and the problem went away, but still couldn't access homebrew.
Anyone have any hints?

Never format your card with NTFS.

Further down you'll find a link to the Panasonic SD Formatter Version 2.0.0.3

Use that tool to format your card for optimal performance.

Now, for your actual problem I can't say that this will help, but I can at least point you into the right direction of the way you SHOULD format your SDHC-card.

Thanks for the info. I had found some conflicting info elsewhere that said the Acekard only reads NTFS.

I had actually tried the Panasonic SD Formatted, but the cards couldn't be mounted in a PC after use. I tried it with two different cards (one SD, one SDHC) and two different PCs (XP, Vista) and both would just say "This volume has not been formatted. Would you like to format it now?" Very strange.
