Hardware What is wrong with this PS3?]

About a week ago, I bought a CHECHE01 PS3 at my local thrift store for $8. I figured it would have the YLOD, but for $8, too cheap to pass up.
It didn't come with the controller though...

Anyway, I plugged it into an outlet, and tapped the power button, Green light... No YLOD, yay... No disc in the drive.
Plugged it into the TV, (low def tv)... No picture. Switched modes, and this happened:



Turned it off, back on, No picture... Same thing over and over. After some time, the fan would switch to the highest setting within seconds of power-up.

Next day, it did the green splotchy thing again, and again, no picture...

What is wrong with this PS3?

Yep, It's been about a month... Still don't know what's wrong with the PS3...

Ack. Figured it was something like that. Dammit, why don't these things auto-shut down when they over-heat, like my computer?
