Hardware What is wrong with this new 3ds XL ?

Hey,

I found on ebay this offer:

I need a new Mainboard in my PAL New 3DS XL...
What is with the Nintendo ?
Are the Displays broken ?
or the Board ?
(I don't know what happend to this new3ds and maybe someone knows what with this one is....)

Sounds like they updated the console when it was on 2.1 while trying to install hax or something like that.

remember, its a n3ds xl, if it had been updated while on 2.1, it wouldnt be turning on

it sounds more like a botched downgrade to me

if this was truly a botched downgrade, you can probably ask the seller for a nand dump, and hardmod restore it yourself...

i wouldnt reccomend this one in any form because of its problems. IMO, your better off just searching ebay for just the motherboard, you dont need a whole new system.

or buy one with like a broken shoulder button, missing buttons, etc, if you only need its motherboard.

point is, buying with a physical outer defect is fine, but never buy one with a software defect

A broken New3ds xl costs on ebay around 50€ and just the Board costs 75€
I think I will have to wait until someone sells a broken 3ds on ebay :/

I doubt you'll find one for 50 euro's since most of those are auctions, i'd recommend getting this.
