What is a dual IPS/TN 3ds? Just wanted to know cuz i saw alot of threads about dual ips 3dses.

I didn't know my new 2ds xl had both IPS screens.

Didn't win anything in the giveaway but I did win 2 IPS screens which I didn't know I had.

Also if you have CFW you can use a homebrew to check yours 3DS has TN or IPS screens.

Washed out mostly refers to the colors. The image is usually still viewable at an angle but the color is gone/faded or changed. As you can see in the photo you posted that the ips retains pretty much all of it's color when viewed at an angle.

There is 3dsident for the app you can use with cfw. One thing it can tell you is the screen types for top and bottom screens.

Ah okay I see, so that's what the site meant.

Edit 1: I just checked the app lone wolf said and yes it's both TN screens.

So it's like the Vita 1k OLED having better colours than the Vita 2k Slim, I have the Vita 1k OLED and GBA colours are more vibrant.
