Emunand 10.3 on o3ds and 9.5 on n3ds

firmware version doesn't matter for online though. You can play online on 1.0

The latest firmware on an Old 3DS and up to 9.5.0-23 on a N3DS but this is irrelevant since connecting online is not determined by what firmware your on but whether your game has the needed update or not.

To be honest, if your firmware is exploitable, I would just go with CFW. If you don't like the idea of using a CFW and still prefer the flashcard, I would go with Gateway. Game dumping, homebrew and emuNAND support, and now maybe the most convincing reason to get it: cheat support. The cheat support is honestly the only reason I would ever choose Gateway over a CFW. I know NTR has cheat plugin support, but they're scarce for US games.

ok so im goign for it tomorrow ill buy a 3ds and try to install CFW my question is how do i check the serial number on the back of the console? do i just ask the person in store if i can check or?

also there is alot of conflicting stuff witch leads me to ask do you need a cubic ninja or OOT game to hack a N3DS still or can we use the browser exploit for it?

I would go with gateway too because it gives more features than others.

Is also easy to install a CFW when your GW is set and ready to use.

Browser exploit does not work on N3DS. You will need to get the other working hax.

You can only buy sky3s on versions above 9.2

You'll most likely have to ask whoever is working to check the serial number for you on the box. It's kind of a hassle, but it's much better than getting the wrong version by mistake and then having to return it/sell it off. I own an Old3DS but I think the installation is different for the New3DSs and requires those exploits to get everything up and running, don't quote me on that though, I use an Old3DS.

If the rom is supported, yes. But it can't be from a different region or otherwise you'll already have to use other apps to enable region free since Sky3DS doesn't have it.

And if you don't have a private header (line of code necessary to play online), you'll get banned.

Be careful mate some of the N3DSXL have above 9.2 preloaded and the serial number is not on the box to check. If you buy one from a store hopefully they are nice enough to take it out and check the serial number on the actual console

I don't know about other countries but in the US the serial is right on the sticker on the side of the box so it can be checked without opening.

nah i had to ask to open the box, shops like bigw kmart and target let me but no surprise that ebgames (aussy gamestop) wouldnt.
no luck i found the models just after the ones listed to be 9.2 so im goign to try online.
i found 1 monster hunter 4u edition N3dsxl, the forms say the EU version of it is 9.2 so im assuming this one will be as well since we go off the Europe region, but for $385 compared to $250 im a bit nervous that im wrong
