Hacking What can I do with a wii u?

Considering buying a wii u, could anyone tell me what I can do right now with one? Can it play wii backups? Emulators? homebrew? I know it can't play wii u games, I don't care about that, I'm just wondering if it's like the 3ds where you pretty much have the whole ds side of it hacked and free.

Considering there aren't many good wii u games right now, is there anything I can do with it at this point in time?

On the vWii/Wii mode, yes it can do all of the above.

It's the Wii U's Wii mode.

So it's pretty much like a 3ds, where the whole DS side is free just like if you were using an actual DS?

Also can you play emulators on the tablet controller? That would make me buy one right now.

In vWii mode you can only use wiimote controllers, just like a regular wii, so no gamepad.

The WiiU updates released until now does not affect vWii but we don't know if they affect the FoF exploit for WiiU if it is ever released.
