Gaming What are some games worth getting?

hello everyone I recently got a wii (installed everything through HBC etc. etc.) and have realized that these days I only use it for VC, WW and GC games so I am wondering what games are worth "Buying" it can be from any region so please list some fun games. I know most of you will say to check the recommendation list but really, it's just a bunch of people adding they're favorite games to a list I need games which are worth playing it can be from a game which was just released from yesterday to back when the wii started.

Punch Out is a really fun game. So is Ghostbusters if you can get it to work after "buying" it.

So? Wii Sports was released when the Wii started, and I still play it! Zelda Twiilight Princess was released then, and it's one of the best games ever made!
You should just check the Essentials thread, no reason not to.

The reason I don't want to go to the "essentials" thread is because I'd rather you guys give me a good reason to get the game instead of +1 to a certain game. There are more games then the "essentials"

Punch Out is an awesome game because A: It's reviving one of the best games on the NES, and the gameplay is just as awesome as it was 20 years ago. B: The controls are rock solid. And C: The multi-player is really fun.

Nice man I'll keep it in mind. What about Mario Kart? I heard it's quite challenging and the WiFi is fun does it lag as much as SSBB?

I've never had any troubles online with Mario Kart. However, I don't recommend going online because people are cheating bastards. I have heard that they have been getting banned though. The game only gets really challenging on 150cc.

You should get:
Mario Kart Wii (party game, good online multiplayer too)
Super Mario Galaxy (easy, but nice graphics and gameplay)
Anno The New World (RTS)
Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 (only if you like football games (like Fifa))
Boom Blox Bash Party (party game, excellent local multiplayer, really, give it a try)
Deadly Creatures (nice atmosphere, cool to play a spider)
HoTD Overkill (really funny, kinda short, but I never laughed more with a game)
Madworld (nice style, a lot of violence, kinda funny)
Kororinpa (so small (under 400MB!!!) but such a great game)
Overlord Dark Legend (Haven't played it yet, but heard it's pretty good. You are the bad guy, and you have minions and you can use those minions to demolish things and all)
The Conduit (FPS, with online, and you can edit the controls)
Super Paper Mario (one of the only decent RPG's atm)
Metroid Prime 3 (First Person Adventure, works really well for shooting)
CoD World at War (shooter, online)

And there are others too, but you can start with this

I know it's in the essentials list, but definitely check out Zack and Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure. That game has really got me addicted the past week or so

Yeah, Zack & Wiki is a very good game. Really good game, with some great puzzles.

I was ready to warn against buying certain games (like The Conduit, don't even get me started, that game is uncool), but since you're just, erm, 'buying' them, read my PM and then do the following

#1 - go to Metacritic

#2 - "buy" every game with scores above 70

you'll end up playing a lot of cool games you wouldn't have tried otherwise as a result.

Resident evil 4, Godfather, Medal of honor are really the only games that I believe are worth their price tag.

man have I had some fun with those games....

If I looked through all the games I'm sure there's a few more notable mentions, but nothing really like the 3 above.

Buying RE4 is worth it plus when it came it is was cheap. they game is old now but its still great, I would like to see RE5 done with these graphics and style of game play/remote scheme. (won't happen)

Thanks for the recommendation on Overlord. I've read mixed reviews on it, but you guys have made me want to download it(I'm not going to type "buy" because everyone knows what you mean and it makes you sound so lame).

I really need to get a zapper for the HoTD games. But I guess I don't really need it to play them.
