Some good WiiWare titles:
World of Goo - think of lemmings but using blobs
Family MiniGolf - Better than any mini-golf game on the shelf, and extra courses available
Wild West Guns - Arcade style light gun game
Equilibrium - A challenging way to use the WiiFit board

Now back to disk games:
Here are a couple that appeal to both sexes and all ages.

Endless Ocean.
A scuba diving simulator.
It is a unique game that really takes advantage of the Wii. Not so much a game but rather an experience. There are certain tasks you can choose to follow throughout the game, but you are also free to simply enjoy the graphics and do as you please. A relaxing way to wind down at the end of the day. Can swim with a buddy online too.

Animal Crossing - City Folk
Make money by 'farming', fishing, collecting, etc to upgrade your house and buy items. Game responds to the time of year, holidays, etc. Nothing mindblowing, but rather addictive. Good online component. Can even send offline maill to your friends.

*** Edited to change Fun Fun Minigolf to Family Minigolf

Rogue Trooper

Hardly anyone plays this game, its very good and fills a nice void for its genre, one that The Conduit cant fill.

Overlord is ok, but I would have been pissed if I had actually bought it. It's extremely short and buggy as hell. You'll crash at least once an hour when loading, and I've read that it happens with the retail copies too.

Disaster Day of Crisis
Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince (wow shocker, a tie-in game that is actually good)
FFCC: My Life as King
Ant Nation

Well I dont know much about all the new Wii games, but one game I wanted to get was Castlevania. The one where they battle each other out with all the different characters. That game looks alright but I dont think it's a must have...hmm...a must have game would probably have to be...hrm...GAH! I dont know, thats a hard question!

Most of the best games have been listed already...

Hmm, have you tried Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles yet? I liked that game pretty well. Alien Sydrome is another less-mentioned game, but it's not that fun unless you like stat-building or have a friend or two to play it with.

I'll second the Little King Story suggestion. It's too good a game not to mention twice. I've had the most fun with my wii with that game since Okami. But it all comes down to taste ultimately.

I know I've suggested Super Mario Galaxy already, but it's just such a great game.
I'm absolutely loving it, I'm playing it everyday for an hour or so, and damn, that's one hell of a game!
You should try it out, just jump in there and be amazed.

This is a really good suggestion list! I'll download all these immediately (No, I'm not gay enough to make the "buy" joke
