1.(Mac osx) Sidenote I don't know much about this.
2.Windows 7,vista,Xp (Don't get me started...
3.(Ubuntu) I heard this is really fast, and can catch no viruses :).

Ps. I think Theres more operating systems, but im not sure yet. If some of yall know Feel free to add some info about other ones, so we can let people know!!! :).

Well, there's heaps of other Linux distros, there's server OS' and there's also enterprise OS'.

And there's are viruses for every one of those OS'. Are you trying to choose one to install or just making a pros and cons list? If you're choosing one to install, what are your needs in an OS? What do you use daily on a PC?

I can recommend using OSX then, it seems you're worried about compatibility, OSX has the second best compatibility out of the OS' you listed.

Every operating system can get viruses. Windows is just infamous for them because people focus on whatever the majority of people use. Attack the most popular OS, hurt the most people.

If you are familiar with the layout of Windows and aren't anxious to learn a new one, then I suggest you try PCLinuxOS.

What's great about Linux distros is that you can burn live CD's and boot directly off them without touching your HDD.

Your OS choice shouldn't really be chosen by an arbitrary list of someone's pros and cons. It should be more based on what you do, and what you want to do within the OS.

Windows - everybody knows how to use it, widest range of apps, standard for most PCs.
Linux, free, open, unrestricted OS, best for power users and specialists.
OSX, shiny, intuitive, specialised.

That's all the pros I can think of. I won't get started on the cons or I'll never finish.

I was skeptical, but I'm totally sold on Windows 8 for gaming. The boot times are amazing! My pc boots in 8 seconds and shuts down in 5. Just a standard free anitvirus and some common sense goes a long way as far as viruses are concerned.

The other bonus of Win8 for gaming is the "XboxLIVE on PC" games you can get.
