Homebrew Web browser

Is there a decent one for Edge? Kind of like Opera how you can watch YT vids on the Wii.

Um...why would you want a web browser that can play DPG videos? That's what Moonshell's for. And there's always Bunjalloo, if you wanted a homebrew web browser. I guess there's also DSOrganize.

I edited post. Actually, I might have found a good option for watching videos. However, you'll need to download a GUI so you can convert into DSV (which is only format for watching).
Here's the link. You'll need 2 things:
dsvideo-1.10.zip and dsvideo-win-1.10.zip
Go ahead and throw these 2 into a folder and open up the gui,.exe file and it's cake from there.

Also, as Da-Bomb1 says, give Moonshell2 a try, it's almost industry standard for DS movie playing. You can also (cough)obtain(/cough) plenty of movies and TV programs already converted it .dpg. An extra benefit is that .dpg files are much smaller that the ones used by DSVideo

the newest iteration of the dpg format is really quite good considering how pissweak the ds is

There are NO Browsers on the DS capable of watching streaming web video!

Just buy an iPlayer card it plays all common formats including FLV, RMBV and WMV formats along with AVI/XVID/DIVX without the need to convert them

moonshell 2 is fine if you want to ONLY watch DPG format video files and it will not play FLV/RVMB/WMV/XVID/DIVX/AVI/ASF etc

Yeah, but you usually have to convert videos for the iPlayer anyway (the damn thing won't take high-resolution videos or mp4's or mkv's). So you might as well convert to dpg4 and save yourself the money.

Mkv = HI DEF what would be the point in trying to watch HI DEF video on such as small and obviously LOW DEF screen that the DS has!

That's just the same as trying to watch BLU RAY on a normal standard definition TV its a bit defeatist!

It does play MP4 video but not that well ....Note though: Its not a LISTED or officially supported format anyway so you cannot really complain abbout that can you?!

As per my other posts some MP4 videos play a bit better by renaming the file extension from .mp4 to .avi

Oh and there are not may formats that would need a conversion as it plays most formats with the excption of mkv/vob and some mp4's without any conversion or resizing at all!

Even though the web browser in DSO is pretty bad, it still doesn't mean it doesn't have one at all.
