Hello guys.
Today a friend wrote me and told me that he has a brick.
He has a New 3DS XL Europe Firmware 10.3, Ironhax and Menuhax are installed. His 3DS freezed without a reason (he didn't used arm11 exploits, he played mario kart 7 normally), and now when he turns the 3ds on, the home menu appears and 2 seconds later he gets the error screen of doom. When he Boots into Menuhax, the 3ds crashes at different points in the exploit and the magical an error occrued screen appears again. It also crashes without a SD. When he tries to boot into recovery mode, he only gets 2 grey screens.
Is this very weard brick recoverable without a hardmod? Do you have suggestions? Thanks for your help guys

It might be a faulty hardware. Not sure which one though.

It happened to my other console, It boots into home menu then after a couple of seconds Nintendo Error will occur. Recovery mode works though, turns out it's the wifi chip. I replaced it and its working now.

There it is.... Yeah very weird.... You are from Germany is well? I'm near Lübeck.... Is there a number where we could check the mfd or charge number... Would be funny to Proof a whole production line is f****d

Some physical hardware might be failing. No homebrew will ever cause behavior like this.

It's probably the WiFi chip. If he's on 3DS or 3DS XL, there's a switch on the side he can press.

But this is a thing where the console has to be opened up.
