The Wayback Machine sounds awesome. https://archive.org/web/

I have never used it. All the sites, all the downloads of the past that you missed out on or lost your copy of, I wonder how easy it is to use. Can I find archived torrents?

Has anyone used it?

not everything is backed up. sometimes, trying to download something, results in an error saying the page isn't available or something to that effect.

The Internet Archive is a great tool. I use it all the time. However, old downloads are rarely backed up, if ever, sadly.
Also, due to the way torrents work, it's not really a file download you'd be looking for, but a magnet link anyway. You're not torrenting from the browser, after all.

I tend to find it's better with direct links, but things on file hosts usually fail.

Just earlier I tried to find software for an old Lenovo A1209 tablet I seem to have lost, but the Dropbox link I could find was dead and the WBM didn't have it.
