Hacking Way to make system stop asking to update?

I'm on Luma with a9lh. Even if I'm not online it still asks occasionally for me to update

I think your 3DS downloads the update to your SD card (I could be wrong) but I had to borrow my friends SD card one day because I left mine at home and my 3DS never nagged me to update.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but if I'm right maybe we can make a home brew tool to delete update data, and also use TubeHax's DNS.

That's a bug with some builds of luma. You can boot into recovery mode, then select cancel and that should delete the update data.

Exactly no harm in that. Unless if you are dealing with flash cart dependent hacks, would want to hold off on the update.

Turn on the Nintendo 3DS while holding A+R+L+Up(DPad) Make sure you click Cancel (Bottem Left)

I just deleted the "pending titles" with FBI and that stopped the update nag for me. It just redownloaded them when I went into system settings afterwards.
