Hi, I have just installed my Wasabi chip on my wii, the green led stays on so I think that its installed correctly however the drive now doesnt work? I cant insert a disk even though the drive is empty. Has any1 else had this problem or know how to fix it?
Cheers
Dan.

Hi I have same Problem

I Have Wasabi (Supposedly D2E but got D2C2 sticker but unsure cos Wasabi website says some come with the D2C2 sticker when they should be D2E) anyways It pre-soldered on a Wii-Clip.

I put it on my D2E drive and installed the 1 neccesary wire and the Green LED lights up when plugged in and turned on.. only problem the DVD drive doesnt work, I take clip off and voila it is working. Replace Chip and back to square one, tried soldering the wire again, checked all the solder points and I ain't having the CLK trouble. Has anybody who experienced this had n e luck fixing it?

Check and see if you have a genuine clip - fake clips are causing a lot of problems. - http://www.wii-clip.com/original.htm

When you say the drive doesn't work - does it not suck in discs? or just say they are not valid discs? If it is the latter, you may have the region jumpers wrong.

... or maybe you wound up with a pre-d2e one.
