Gaming Want to start.

I don't know why but I really feel like making my own indie game.
I have very basic knowledge of programming as I am only halfway through the course of my high school's first programming course.
The only language that I say that I have truly mastered is scratch, my teacher has only touched the beginning of python and game maker.
I want to know if there is a language that is best for making games, and isn't too difficult to learn.
Next year for my senior project I will be making a game, and I don't want it too be on scratch or game maker lol.

It...kind of depends on the game really. 3D games? Side scroller? 2D platformer? Top down? Strategy? FPS? TPS? What do you really want to make?

I would say something in the view of castle crashers. I don't think it's a platformer, but its not a top down either.
It isn't going to be anything like castle crashers though.
