Walmart has Wii U Basic for $199 <CANADIANS ONLY>

yep.
This is effective at 2nd of August. The news came from a leaked advertisement. I suppose it's because of poor sales since launch. Coming from GameSpot's article:

Nintendo has had a tough time moving Wii U units since launch, selling only 160,000 systems during the April-June quarter and 3.61 million systems overall. Asda, a Wal-Mart subsidiary and the United Kingdom's second-largest supermarket, stopped stocking the Wii U in its stores this week.

That's how I inferred, why.
