This version is completely legal

Was there something illegal about the first version?

Yes, the nandloader in the WADs (to load the channels from the System Menu) made by WADder 1.0 is copyrighted to Nintendo, and therefore illegal to distribute/use without permission. WADder 2.0 will probably have either 0RANGECHiCKEN's nandloader, comex's or a one developed by the WADder team. I doubt that the one in the Homebrew Channel will be used, though, even though it isn't a Nintendo one (due to the fact that it is also copyrighted and is illegal to use without explicit permission from Team Twiizers). The same goes for the banners. While they have your own images on, they're still modified versions of Nintendo's banners and therefore they are also illegal.

Calm down buby, I just woke up

Im on my iPod in bed still. I was able to pack stuff and only modify like 1 or 2 images, but when I tried to edit all the images in the banner, I got a runtime error (I believe it came from u8tool)

Maybe I should clarify. The program itself is legal. Uses a legal base wad, therefor the program is okay to give out here unlike the previous wadder. BUT, the wads in the program you use maybe illegal.

I'm not icefire, so I could be wrong on stuff!! So please don't take my word for it

It's not a CRIME. It's a sueable offence, but not illegal. You cannot have the cops come and arrest you.

if it was illegal dont you think they would have had all this sites closed? hacking is hacking no matter what. dont you need to use nintendo codes on cios? so that make cios illegal right. so when i send my wii to nintendo they sould of arrested me because i even send a burnt game and they send it back with my wii!!!!!

Just to let everybody know, WADder 2.0 is based on the Benzin project. That is how it gets completely legal, custom animations. Benzin is by 0RANGECHiCKEN and comex.
Thought I should say that, just to make sure we don't lose our credit. =P

I just had an idea. You could unpack a wad, take the banner.bin from 1 you like, and take an icon.bin from another. Pack em with U8Tool and then put that WAD into WADder!

Yeah, MP3's and WAV's. Just like the other WADder

Like I said before. The PROGRAM is now legal, clean base wad.

I'd like to bring up that icefire gave me NO INFORMATION about this program. Hell, maybe there's a legal wad out there I suppose to be using! Ice gave to me, then left. So most of what I'm saying is guessing and/or putting pieces of the puzzle together.
